As we reflect on the May 26, 2026, Republican Primary Runoff Election, I want to congratulate all of the candidates who earned the trust and support of Republican voters and emerged victorious in their races. From statewide to local races across Texas, these victories reflect the voices of citizens who took the time to vote in the hope that their concerns and priorities would finally be heard.

I especially want to congratulate Ken Paxton on his victory in the highly watched U.S. Senate runoff race, Mayes Middleton on his Attorney General victory, and Thomas Smith on his successful campaign for the Court of Criminal Appeals, Place 3.

These races captured the attention of Republicans across the state and reflected the growing desire among voters to support candidates they believe will fight for conservative principles.

At the same time, every candidate who stepped up to run deserves recognition and respect. Running for office requires sacrifice and a willingness to place yourself before the public. Whether victorious or not, every candidate contributed to the political process and to the future of Texas.

Many Texas voters today feel ignored and neglected by elected officials who campaign as servants of the people, only to later shift their loyalty toward the political system, lobbyists, donors, consultants, and the pressures of Austin and Washington. Voters are tired of watching campaign promises disappear once power is obtained. That frustration is real, and it must not be dismissed.

To all of the winners of these runoff races: Remember the voters who placed their trust in you. Your victory comes with responsibilities. Stay grounded. Stay accessible. Stay loyal to the principles and people you promised to represent.

Texans are not looking for Grandstanders with polished talking points, political theater, and countless excuses for failure. They are looking for Warriors with courage and consistency to place the interests of Texas families above political convenience.

To all Republican voters: Now that the primary season has ended, Republicans across Texas must come together and unite for the November election.

Differences during a primary are natural, but preserving Texas as a strong conservative state will require unity and participation from every single Republican voter. The future of our state will not be determined by spectators or critics, but by citizens willing to stay engaged, stay focused, and fight for the principles that keep Texas strong.
