Throughout history, tyrants have used Cultural Hegemony to force people to lower their moral values and accept new cultural norms. It has been used to crush people’s hopes for a better tomorrow. Under Cultural Hegemony, people are scolded to lower their expectations from their elected officials and be grateful for the scraps they are given, even if these mean losing personal liberties – In essence, it is ‘tyranny with the consent of the governed.’
In Texas, many social media posts are calling for meetings, rallies, and flag waves to denounce the border crisis. Yet, every candidate that promised to use the Constitution to defy the rogue federal government and stop the border invasion, lost in the last primary election.

How Did This Happen?
Cultural Hegemony scolded voters to accept the border invasion as a new norm. Cultural Hegemony scolded voters to accept increasing property taxes as the new norm. And as history’s tyrants have done, people were told, ‘be grateful because it could be worse.’ Voters were forced to lower their expectations and vote for the ‘new norm.’ And finally, it successfully portrayed anyone attempting to change these ‘new norms’ as fictitious intruders.
What’s Next?
After a successful ‘health emergency’ the last couple of years where citizens gladly consented to give up their freedoms, now comes a ‘climate emergency’ where citizens will most likely be forced to give up more freedoms and accept the Green New Deal agenda. Those that fight back will be ostracized and labeled, ‘climate deniers.’ The use of fossil fuels will be scornfully attacked. There will most likely be a ‘climate tax’ for those that refuse to comply. All in the name of, ‘the greater good.’ All in the name of, ‘the new norm.’
How Did We Get Here?
In the last couple of years, Tyranny learned that if citizens gladly consent to give up their freedoms in an ’emergency,’ all it has to do is create another ’emergency’…and citizens will gladly consent to give up more of their freedoms. All in the name of, ‘the greater good.’
After all, Cultural Hegemony has proven an effective tool throughout history for convincing ‘the governed’ to consent to tyranny.
The question is, will Texas once again fall prey to Cultural Hegemony and accept the coming ‘climate norms’ as the new standard, or will Texas rise above the smokescreen?
